Hailing from Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, interdisciplinary artist Minas Sanim is a name to be reckoned with. Sanim recently completed a mesmerizing collection of mixed media, combining digital painting and digital collage techniques. The piece he submitted for the upcoming Supernova event is a fresh extract from this series, titled ‘Nostalgic Memories’. He is also exploring another collection currently under development, diving into the depths of his past experiences with sleep paralysis.

Reflecting on his artistic journey, Sanim’s first memories of creating art trace back to his kindergarten years, with watercolors serving as his initial medium of choice. He still possesses the first piece of art he ever made in those early years, a testament to his enduring dedication to the craft. Over the past decade, he has honed his skills, carving out a successful full-time career as an artist.

Sanim is rarely short of inspiration, continuously brimming with ideas that he jots down in his physical and digital notebooks. On the infrequent occasions when inspiration wanes, he steps back to refresh, immersing himself in movies, music, and socializing with friends.
